Plastic Free Challenge

Thank you to the thousands of residents in Virginia, Maryland and DC who took part in the Plastic Free Challenge to protect our waterways and wildlife. While the formal Plastic Free Challenge is over, there are plenty of resources and ideas available to learn about how to reduce your plastic footprint.

Help us make our dream of a #PlasticFreeDMV possible! Share your tips on social media using the hashtag #PlasticFreeDMV.

The Plastic Free Challenge was presented by 350 Fairfax, Alice Ferguson Foundation, Clean Fairfax Council, EcoAction Arlington, Friends of Accotink Creek, the Greater Prince William Climate Action Network, the Mt. Vernon Group of the Virginia Chapter of the Sierra Club, the Northern Virginia Trash Action Work Force, and Phoenix Bikes.
