Plastic Free Challenge Internship

We are seeking an intern to support our Plastic Free Challenge that is launching in August.  This position is ideal for someone passionate about environmental issues and offers the opportunity to take part in coordinating a regional campaign aimed at reducing plastic waste. 

You will….

  • Develop and edit weekly emails for Plastic Free Challenge participants.
  • Develop, edit and schedule social media promotions.
  • Update web site.
  • Complete data entry for new program participants.
  • Coordinate tabling events. 
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Internship Period: This position is for 10 hours a week between July 15 and December 1. Most of the work can be conducted virtually. 

We’re looking for someone with …

Required

  • Interest in environmental issues.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to conduct multiple tasks.

Preferred

  • Pursuing degree in environmental science or sustainability.



Fall Outreach Internship

We are seeking candidates interested in community outreach to organize and deliver presentations to community and school groups and coordinate tabling events at various settings including farmers markets and community events.  This position is ideal for someone passionate about environmental issues and offers the opportunity to participate in a community-based effort to engage local residents in sustainability. This is an unpaid position. A small stipend is available to offset transportation costs.

You will….

  • Publicize program availability.
  • Prepare and organize supplies for presentations.
  • Deliver presentations to school and community groups.
  • Coordinate tabling events. 
  • Document program accomplishments.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Internship Period: This position is for 5 to 10 hours a week between September 15 and December 15.

Required

  • Interest in environmental issues.
  • Teaching experience and/or public speaking skills.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Experience working with kids.
  • Ability to conduct multiple tasks.

Preferred

  • Spanish-language fluency.
