This #givingtaco, the chicken karaage taco, features Japanese-style marinated chicken crisped in potato starch, tossed with a ginger-soy glaze, topped with Asian pear kimchi + fresh cilantro.

- karaage: a traditional Japanese technique in which an ingredient is lightly coated in a flour (typically potato starch or corn starch) and deep fried in oil.
- potato starch: starch extracted from potatoes and dried to a powdery texture. Potato starch is desirable in deep frying because of the crispy texture it can achieve.
- asian pear: Asian Pear is a species of pear (pyrus pyrifolia) in the rose family that is native to Southern China and Northern Indochina. Asian pears are round with yellow skin and white flesh that has a sweet, juicy and crisp flavor.
