Participate in the Statewide Day of Service on 1/4
Did you know that this Saturday is the Virginia Inauguration Committee’s Day of Service? In celebration of the inauguration of Virginia’s 72nd governor, Terry McAuliffe, service events are being planned in local communities around the state. As Dorothy McAuliffe shared, “We will come together to create a better tomorrow by recommitting ourselves to the future of the Commonwealth and to each other in the name of public service and bettering our localities.”
EcoAction Arlington is partnering with Arlington Young Democrats to clean up’ Four Mile Run at Barcroft Park. We invite you to join us this Saturday, January 4′ from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. to remove trash and recylcables ‘ from this popular park and recreation site.
To participate in the fun, simply wear shoes and clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting wet or dirty and dress appropriately for the weather (including wearing layers as needed).
