It’s 3PM on Giving Tuesday and we are less than half-way to our goal of $3,000. There is still time to help us reach our goal before the day ends. Give now to grow the tree canopy in Arlington and help the neighborhoods that need it most!

Giving Tuesday Tree Canvassing and Cleanup Event Cancelled Due to Inclement Weather

Our Tree Ambassadors had planned to be out in the Glencarlyn and Green Valley neighborhoods, along with volunteers and partners, promoting the planting of trees, educating our neighbors on the benefits of trees, and advocating for equitable tree coverage in all of Arlington. Unfortunately, due to inclement weather we had to postpone our activities. The safety of our staff and team is of utmost importance to us. Today’s icy rain is only temporarily delaying our critical work–soon, we will back in the community to help neighbors plant trees where they are needed most.

You may also support us by spreading the word to your friends and family. Let them know how beneficial trees are to our environment and the work EcoAction Arlington is doing to increase the tree canopy here in Arlington.

Give to Grow the Tree Canopy

On Giving Tuesday, December 2, 2025 EcoAction Arlington Tree Ambassadors along with our volunteers and partners will be out in the community knocking on doors and promoting tree planting. Together we will be spreading the word of the benefits of planting trees in the GlenCarlyn and Green Valley neighborhoods. 

Our goal is to increase the tree canopy in the neighborhoods that need it most. With your support, EcoAction Arlington can continue to engage our Tree Ambassador team, who are taking a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground approach in Arlington neighborhoods to promote trees. Through these efforts, EcoAction Arlington has added more than 4,400 trees to our canopy, and now we all have the honor to watch these trees grow and prosper, adding to the vitality and health of our environment.

We are so grateful to all of the donors and volunteers who support us every Giving Tuesday. Last year, incredible volunteers from Mastercard,  Amazon, Tree Stewards of Arlington and Alexandria, and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington joined our tree canvassing efforts. Their time and dedication made an invaluable impact in our community, and with your support, we can build on their commitment this year. We look forward to expanding our reach with you on Giving Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

You can be a part of this community effort by donating on December 2, 2025 towards our goal of $3,000. Every dollar donated on Tuesday, December 2, 2025  will support EcoAction Arlington’s work to address tree inequity in 13 Arlington neighborhoods where we are planting trees to provide relief from the heat, a connection to nature, and physical and mental health benefits.
