Leave an Environmental Legacy

A simple way to secure a future gift to EcoAction Arlington is through a bequest. This can be accomplished by simply naming EcoAction Arlington as a beneficiary in your will or trust. You can specify which assets we’ll receive such as cash, securities, real estate, or other non-cash assets, or designate that we receive a percentage of your overall estate or of the residual of your estate.

Language you can easily share with your attorney: 

Bequest of specific dollar amount: “I hereby give, devise, and bequeath ______ ($DOLLARS) to EcoAction Arlington, a nonprofit organization located at 3308 S. Stafford Street Arlington, VA 22206, Federal Tax ID #54-1094546.”

Bequest of specific asset: “I hereby give, devise, and bequeath (description of asset) to EcoAction Arlington, a nonprofit organization located at 3308 S. Stafford Street Arlington, VA 22206, Federal Tax ID #54-1094546.”

Percentage bequest: “I hereby give, devise, and bequest ____ percent (____%) of my total estate determined as of the date of my death, to EcoAction Arlington, a nonprofit organization located at 3308 S. Stafford Street Arlington, VA 22206, Federal Tax ID #54-1094546.”

Residual bequest: “I hereby give, devise, and bequeath all or a percentage of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate to EcoAction Arlington, a nonprofit organization located at 3308 S. Stafford Street Arlington, VA 22206, Federal Tax ID #54-1094546.”
