Register For A Free Native Tree with Arlington County

September 30, 2025

The Arlington County Dept. of Parks and Recreation is providing 500 young native trees to Arlington residents at no cost this fall. The trees you plant are part of the mission to expand and enhance Arlington’s urban tree canopy. This annual program is very popular and has yielded many beautiful trees and benefited our community.  Online tree reservations opened Sept. 2 and may be made now while supplies last. Limit of one (1) tree total per residential property. The tree must be picked up on Saturday, 10/18 from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm or Tuesday, 10/21 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm.

Species Available:
Pignut Hickory, Redbud, Flowering Dogwood, Smoketree, Franklin Tree, Sweetbay Magnolia, Shumard Oak, American Linden, White Pine, Sourwood, Alternateleaf Dogwood, Blackhaw Viburnum, Witch Hazel, and Bur Oak.
