Sustainable Food & Drink

  • Arlington Food Assistance Center ‘“ Plot Against Hunger Program
The Plot Against Hunger program of the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) AFACencourages local gardeners and farmers to grow and donate fresh produce for Arlington residents in need. Volunteers help the AFAC food pantry by gardening, harvesting crops at local farms and orchards, and picking up donations at local farmers markets. ‘œPlot’ helps educate the community on the nutritional, environmental and social benefits of gardening through demonstration gardens, presentations, and tasting demonstrations at AFAC distribution sites. Stop by their table to pick up free seeds and learn how to become involved.
  • Grosaic
Grosaic’ is a hydroponic, illuminated and modular wall-mounted system for indoor application that is designed to be an easy and attractive way for people to reap the many health benefits of being around plants. If you want fresh herbs for your kitchen, to filter the air in your home naturally, or just to have a soothing decorative piece on your walls, Grosaic is the product for you!
  • Organic Edible Gardens LLC
Organic Edible Gardens LLC is a sustainable garden design+build company servicing the Northern Virginia and DC Metro areas. They specialize in creating edible and ecologically-sustainable landscapes that sustain and regenerate local ecosystems while providing material and aesthetic benefits to people.
  • Tower Garden
Tower Garden is a unique and eco friendly way to grow incredible Organic Fresh Produce year round through an Aeroponic Tower. It can be grown both inside your home, or outside your home.
Using aeroponics and a specially formulated Tower Tonic plant food, it grows almost any vegetable, herb, or flower’”and many fruits’”in less time than it takes in soil. Tower Garden gives you more control of your and your family’s health by making it easy to grow nutritious, great-tasting vegetables and fruits at home. And it’s a smart choice, both environmentally and economically.
  • Relay FoodsRelay Foods

  • Tap In Arlington

We want our friends and neighbors to recognize the harmful impacts of single-use plastic water bottles, and to join us in pledging to drink water in ways that are good for the natural environment and good for household budgets. Stop by our table and sign the pledge: “I choose to drink tap water instead of purchasing single-use plastic water bottles.”
