The purpose of the Outreach Committee is to support EcoAction Arlington’s vision of “everyone in Arlington being collectively engaged in creating a sustainable community” and our mission “to educate, advocate, and act to create a sustainable community by improving our natural environment, encouraging environmentally-friendly behaviors, ensuring environmental justice, and addressing the climate crisis.”

The Committee harnesses volunteer enthusiasm to expand EcoAction Arlington’s ability to share information and resources about low-carbon and sustainable lifestyles. The committee accomplishes this by engaging in outreach activities which include making contact and coordinating via phone, email, and mail;  representing EcoAction Arlington at events such as local fairs, delivering presentations, and engaging in dialogue with the community and with current and prospective audiences. The work will be guided by goals set by the staff and board to achieve our strategic objectives.
