Join the EcoAction Arlington Outreach Committee for the Climate Commons series, where we explore conversations around climate change topics and connect with neighbors who care about the environment.
This session: How e-waste fuels climate change and what we as individuals can do about it.
Every year, tons of discarded electronics end up in landfills, leaking toxins and wasting valuable resources. Join us on Thursday November 12 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Lubber Run Community Center to learn about eWaste Warriors, an Arlington-based nonprofit that fights electronic waste by repairing, reusing, refurbishing, and responsibly recycling old technology. Play a fun game to test your knowledge about how e-waste connects to climate change here in Arlington, meet new friends, and discover how you can get involved. Bring your old phones, laptops, tablets, and cables, and eWaste Warriors will handle what’s next. Donation for reuse first. Data retrieval if there’s something on an old machine you want back. Every device has its data secured before it goes anywhere.
