Volunteer with EcoAction Arlington
EcoAction Arlington depends on a network of dedicated volunteers to accomplish our mission to educate, advocate, and act to create a sustainable community by improving our natural environment, encouraging environmentally-friendly behaviors, ensuring environmental justice, and addressing the climate crisis. Join The Outreach Committee
The Outreach committee supports our mission and vision. The goal of the committee is to expand our reach and community engagement by planning outreach opportunities, building relationships, developing and implementing presentations and more. Any interested party my serve on the committee with a commitment of a one-year term. Members may joint at any time. Please complete the Outreach Committee interest form.
Meeting are the second Wednesday of the month from 7-8:30 pm. The first meeting is Wednesday, Sept 10
Open Volunteer Positions
Event Photographers
EcoAction Arlington is seeking photographer(s) to photograph our service and outreach events between March 2026 to September 2026. The photographs will be taken for EcoAction Arlington’s use online including on our website and social media posts and in print media. All positions are unpaid and offer no benefits.
Requirements:
- Experience taking engaging photographs for use in print and online media.
- Ability to work independently.
Time Commitment:
- These positions will require the contribution of approximately 5 to 10 hours per event including photographing the event and organizing and sending digital copies of the photographs. Event dates/times vary with most taking place on evenings and weekends.
