SUMMARY:Thermostat Installation Pilot Program
DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT NOTICE – Please note that the date for the thermostat installation and training is being moved to sometime in July. The exact date will be announced and updated as soon as we have more information. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEnergy Masters\, EcoAction Arlington and the Virginia Cooperative Extension have teamed up with the City of Alexandria to launch a new Programmable Thermostat Pilot! \n\n\n\nThrough this program\, you will be trained to install thermostats in the homes of Chatham Square residents to help them more effectively reduce their energy use and save money on their utility bills. Chatham Square is located in Old Town Alexandria. This property is managed by ARHA\, the Alexandria Redevelopment Housing Authority\, and features 100 market rate townhomes and 52 subsidized rental homes where we will be focusing our efforts. We welcome individuals\, families and groups to join this project. No experience is necessary!  \n\n\n\nThe installation day will take place in July/Date TBD 5 from 8:30 am – 4 pm. \n\n\n\nWhile no experience is necessary\, we will be providing a 90 minute virtual training on July Date TBD from 7-8:30 pm. This training will include the purpose of the pilot\, how to install the thermostats\, and thermostat operations. Upon registering\, you will receive a Zoom link for the training. A recording will be provided if you are not able to attend the virtual training\, and hands-on training will be provided on installation day.

DESCRIPTION:Please join us in celebrating the Arlington County Board’s adoption of a Climate Resolution. This resolution recognizes the threat of climate change to the planet and the need to develop effective\, just\, and equitable policies to combat the climate crisis. To commemorate this milestone\, we will gather in the County Board room (3rd floor) to watch the adoption of the resolution. We will then convene in Courthouse Plaza (by the Metro entrance) for a celebration rally. In the event of inclement weather\, the celebration will be moved indoors by the information desk. The exact timing of the resolution vote and celebration rally are subject to change. \n\n\n\nFree. RSVP requested\, but not required.
